Iceni Gold Hoard in Suffolk England

Nothing ever happens in Wickham Market
Well thats not quite true anymore.
This sleepy Suffolk town is the centre of a huge find of GOLD COINS
A Metal detectorist found these and did the honest British stiff upper-lip thing -(as would we all of course..)

William IVth Gold Coins Britain

William 4th was only King of England for Seven Years so the number of Gold coins minted were fewer.He introduced a smaller Half-Sovereign in 1834 but this was not popular with the Public or in commerce.

George IVth Gold Coins of Britain

George the Fourth ascended the Throne of Britain in 1820.
During his reign the following Gold Coins were struck :
Five Pounds and Two Pounds (only as proofs)
Gold Sovereigns with various head between 1821 and 1827

George III Gold Coins of Britain

Kng George IIIrd of England minted number of gold coins.

These included the Five Guinea and Two Guinea coins but more common was the Guinea which appeared with six different versions of the Kings Head – the rarest of these were the First Head 1761, The Second Head minted in 1763 to 1764 and the Sixth Head minted in 1813 and this coin was known as the Military Guinea.
